MTD Capital Bhd (MTDC) is an investment holding company with interest in civil engineering and construction, infrastructure development, property development and manufacturing of construction related materials.

MTDC was listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 27 January 1994, and was subsequently transferred to the Main Board in December 1998. Through a capital repayment exercise, MTD InfraPerdana Bhd (MTD Infra) and Metacorp Bhd were delisted from Bursa Malaysia effectively in January and April 2009, respectively.

MTDC’s tollway division manages the concession for the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) and its extension, the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (ECE 1). KLK conveniently connects commuters between Klang Valley and Karak Town while ECE 1 joins Karak to Jabor. Upon the completion of ECE Phase 2, the ECE will offer a seamless connection between Klang Valley and Terengganu. The Group also holds the concession for the East-West Link Expressway and the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway, which connects commuters in the Klang Valley southwards into Negri Sembilan. The Group is also a shareholder of Touch ‘N Go Sdn Bhd (previously known as Rangkaian Segar Sdn Bhd), the sole operator of Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) for all expressways in the country.

The engineering & construction division has an extensive experience and track record in the construction on mountain roads, highways, bridges, building geotechnical works, erosion control and highway maintenance. It is also involved in the manufacturing of precast concrete products for infrastructure and buildings.

The manufacturing division meanwhile produces precast concrete products for infrastructure and buildings and one of the key players in Industrialised Building Systems (IBS).

The real estate & property development division’s flagship project involves the 742-acre integrated township Taman Tasik Utama in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Modal Ehsan, meanwhile, is the developer of the 160-acre Taman Sutera in Kajang. The Group’s first proposed high-end residential project is located in the well soughtafter Bangsar neighbourhood. The investment property arm, meanwhile, owns and manages Bangunan Shell in Kuala Lumpur. The Group is also involved in solid waste management for the northern region via 50%-owned unit, E-Idaman Sdn Bhd.

Abroad, MTDC has a presence in countries including Australia, Indonesia, India, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines and United Arab Emirates.
